Melaka Light Up Celebrations at Jonker Walk, Melaka

Write Up :

>>Gaze at myriad of lights brightening the night skies along of the historical city of Melaka. Lanterns strung across Jonker Walk and main streets with colourful arches welcome visitors. Numerous activities will be held during the period of celebrations such as demontration on chinese writing caligraphy, cooking competitions and cultural performances by various Melaka ethnic cultural groupes. Be experienced to celebrate Chinese New Year and Chop Goh Mei together with Melaka chinese community here in Jonker Walk.

2. 18 February 2007

Intrudu Celebrations at Portuguese Settlement

>>Intrudu meaning "Coming Before" in Christao. Splashing Carnival on 18th February from 8am - 12 noon. 7.30pm - join the "Branyu Rudia" street dancing with cultural songs followed by light refreshments, cultural performances and entertainment untill midnight.

Chinese New Year Celebrations

On 27th Jan. 2007, a tourism staff from Melaka Tourism Promotion Division, Chief Minister of Melaka Department give some goodies like balloon and Melaka food to tourists at Bandar Hilir areas to promoting Melaka.
